- this song, written by Young Coconut, began as a little tune called "Pussy n' Ribs", and was only played as such at parties by a drunken Paul "Liptone" Lipton, usually for 30 minutes with completely improvised lyrics revolving around topics mentioned in the title...also, it must be said that Liptone forbade the song from ever becoming anything other than it was at that time, and Young Coconut, for reasons unclear, abided by this "rule" for many years......
- finally, in 2012, Young Coconut decided to develop the song along different lines than the whole Pussy n' ribs idea, going with the songs "other" name, "Main Offender"..
- while still in development, YC dropped by his sister's place, and jammed on the song with his nephew Zach, who helped give the song a whole new direction
- soon after, the song, now called "(I Am The) Main Offender", which is also the title of a painting by the author which contains a decent amount of neon orange paint, was brought to the 'Rents, and it was developed further
- simultaneously as the 'Rents were jamming out this track, YC was not-so-secretly (only secret in the sense that no one really asked him) was recording the song to be included in his latest solo effort, "I Got A Vibe", to be released in 2013
