-This song was initially conceived in 2001 as another in a long series of cool riffs written by Adrian Bos, during a jam session with The Approachables...not sure if the riff was written before the jam, or during, but it was whipped out at the jam in '01, given a somewhat arbitrary title by the compulsive song-titler, Young Coconut, and stored in the vaults with dozens of other nifty licks for a number of years. At this point, there really was no song to speak of, but the "hard to get excited" refrain did exist as the only lyrical content of the song
- In 2011, Young Coconut decided to actually take the riff and write a song around it, and brought it to his (now defunct) band, Lazu Lie, who added some additional razzle-dazzle and began performing the song at gigs...here, the song really started to gain momentum
- After Lazu Lie dissolved, and the song remained unrecorded, Young Coconut, not one to let a good thing go to waste, brought the song to his next/current band, the 'Rents, where the song was tweaked and finally recorded in 2013 in the form found here
